Nike Air Humara
The Nike Air Humara is a trail running sneaker designed by Peter Fogg, first released in 1996. Though not a Nike ACG offering in name, the sneaker arguably bears more of the outdoorsy aesthetics and tooling as many of its contemporaries that actually bear the title. Representing the out-of-left-field influences that marked the models of the era, the Nike Air Humara takes much of its cues from motorcycle wheels, borrowing a spoked outsole to create the traction it was marketed with. The profile of the Humara was raised in the 2010s when it was revived in another archive-raiding collaboration with Supreme, a 2017 four-pack that draped the runner in vivid neon shades. In 2023, the Nike Air Humara started its most recent retro run as it returned as a mainline offering. That series has stretched in 2024, and there’s no sign of slowing down for the model as we look to the rest of this year.
