The Jumpman’s continuing 40th anniversary is no doubt the focus within the halls of Nike, Inc., but don’t discount similar milestones elsewhere in the catalog. Quietly, the Nike Dunk is itself celebrating 40 years on the shelves, and the Swoosh has revisited some of its most iconic and historic looks as a result — again the case as the Nike Dunk High re-enters with “Kentucky” aesthetics.

If you’re getting a bit of deja vu in seeing this news, you’re not totally off-base; the return of the Nike Dunk High “Michigan” signaled bring-backs of some of the original “Be True To Your School” make-ups of the once-basketball shoe. We’ll try not to enrage Ann Arbor alumni, but it seems fair to say that the “Kentucky” hitting shelves anew is a bigger story, if only because it’s latest retro is further in the rearview mirror. 2016 marked the last time these were readily available — yet the timeless black and white still looks as good in the 2025 pair as it did four decades ago.

The Nike Dunk High “Kentucky” will likely retail for $150 in adult sizing, something already tipped off with said Michigan pair’s asking price.
