Matt Varga Is the New Balance 550 back? While it may no longer be at the center of the footwear universe any longer, the Boston brand may just be plotting a comeback effort as new colorways continue to trickle in.
This marks the fifth colorway to come about since the start of the year, dwarfing the goose egg that appeared between October and the end of 2024. To be transparent, a similar deluge of looks graced the ‘net just weeks prior to that date, nothing more than a range of easily accessible colorways for one of the brand’s more tried-and-true styles. However, this shoe and that 2024 spree projected a vote of confidence in the New Balance 550, and with this mix of neutral creams, whites and greys alongside more resplendent touches in burgundy, red and tan, it’s hard to argue with the logic.
