Trademark “Raincloud” Takes Over The New Balance 1906R

Another tonal treatment on tap.

Trademark “Raincloud” Takes Over The New Balance 1906R

Though the New Balance 1906R has been incredibly successful in its techy takeover (highlighted by spinoff constructions like the New Balance 1906A), as time draws on, we’ve seen the model increasingly circle back to the mainline for muted executions. That’s the prompt for the latest to hit the newswire, a cool & collected “Raincloud” edition.

This is a “what you see is what you get” sort of pair. The Boston brand’s patented grey tonality drapes the upper essentially from heel to toe, only interrupted by hits of off-white on the “N” branding and the laces. Underfoot, that same eggshell tonality continues on the midsole, closing out with a final dose of mineral coloring on the outsole. Perhaps the only switch-up on this shoe is the materials, opting for suede on the topmost overlays rather than the typical leather, yet keeping the same mesh underpinnings the shoe has always capitalized on.

The New Balance 1906R “Raincloud” is expected to land this Fall, retailing for $155. Check out official images just ahead while we await the drop.
