Aimé Leon Dore Is Dropping This New Balance Model For The First Time

Another archive revival for Teddy Santis.

Aimé Leon Dore Is Dropping This New Balance Model For The First Time

With the wide launch of the Aimé Leon Dore New Balance 1000 just around the corner, the imprint’s founder Teddy Santis is already looking ahead to the next steps. He just revealed early images of the Aimé Leon Dore New Balance 475, reviving an archival silhouette with typical sleek stylings.

Sharing a lot of design language with low-key offerings like the New Balance 550 and New Balance 576, the 475 has been off shelves for quite some time. Originally formulated as an 1980s trail shoe, this colorway shows that regardless of its vintage origins, it still spotlights NB’s greatest strengths in this revived form. Nylon mesh underlays and suede up top tap into their ever-successful formula. Further, select premium touches elevate this edition, with textured synthetics landing inside the “N” logo and cracked leather appearing at the heel.

While the white & green varsity colorway that paints this shoe fits well with the general ALD New Balance formula, the model does as well. That is to say, Santis and his brand have dug into the NB archives on plenty of previous occasions, their touch bringing shoes like the New Balance 550 and New Balance 1906R from forgotten curios to dominant silhouettes.

As of writing, a release date for the Aimé Leon Dore New Balance 475 remains unclear. Keep an eye on this article and our Sneaker Release Dates page; we’ll keep both current with up-to-date info as it emerges.
