The New Balance 1906R Goes Full Stealth In “Black/Silver”

The first "Triple Black" type look for the red-hot newcomer.

The New Balance 1906R Goes Full Stealth In “Black/Silver”

Though formulated and released to lean into the dominant tech runner trend, NB has done right by the New Balance 1906R by keeping the model’s palettes fresh and consistently out of the box. Yet sometimes it’s hard to argue with what works- exactly the case with its newest pair.

The main thing that keeps this from being a true “Triple Black” rendition is the silver line-work over top, intricately decorating the topmost leather overlays. It’s a choice constant throughout the silhouette, outlining the NLock branding on the side and the stamps on the tongue tag. The futuristic and elaborate construction the 1906R boasts via its heel cage and leather webbing naturally dovetails into statement piece looks for the model, but this charts a subtler, stealthier type of life for the techwear staples.

This New Balance 1906R will drop on April 8th via Finish Line and JD Sports channels, commanding a $155 price tag upon arrival. You can find some detailed shots just ahead.

For fans of the shoe generally, take a look at the New Balance 1906R Angora and New Balance 1906R Reflection, both dropping the same day via JD Sports and Finish Line.
