Jovani Hernandez As Kawhi Leonard prepares to redeem himself throughout the 2020-21 NBA season, he and his New Balance family have prepped a cool iteration of the Los Angeles Clippers forward’s KAWHI signature sneaker.
Clad in various shades of light blue, the pair sports one of its glossiest ensembles yet. Synthetic reinforcement around the toe and heel structures at the heel indulge in semi-shimmering arrangements surrounded by much more tame textile underlays. Midfoot panels feature embroidery dips in a gradient that furthers the proposition’s winter theme along well. “KAWHI” branding on the tongue is replaced by a claw and basketball graphic (which bears some resemblance to the Vancouver Grizzlies’s logo). Underfoot, the FuelCell midsole delivers metallic silver flair, while the performance tread rounds out the cold aesthetic with a partially-translucent blue finish.
