Jasmine Tang For the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90, Nike did not hesitate to bring back classics such as the Air Max 90 “Infrared” nor get creative with new styles like the Air Max 90 “Archetype”. Before the brand concludes the celebration, they’re delivering a variation clad in Miami Vice-inspired accents and a silver chain link.
For materials, this Air Max 90 opts for black and red mesh on the toe and tongue, respectively. The textured leather mudguard and cassette are also black to match the uppers. The sky blue swoosh and bubblegum pink midsole give off Miami Vice vibes as it contrasts the mostly black body. Continuing the sneaker jewelry trend the Swoosh has been recently embracing, a silver chain link with a Nike swoosh pendant dangles from the tongue—similar to the gold accessories featured on a past rendition.
The Air Max 90 will be available at Nike.com with a release date coming later this month.
