In 2017, Nike introduced the world to its boisterous Vapormax bubbles. Since then, that outsole unit has gone on to become the focal point of numerous new Swoosh Brand silhouettes from the Vapormax 95 to the Vapormax Run Utility. Now, the Beaverton-based sneaker conglomerate is continuing that trend with a new piece of innovation, the lifestyle-engineered bubble of the Air Max 270 – the Swoosh’s first Air Max shoe designed for lifestyle use. We have already seen it adorn the Air Force Utility as well as the Air Max 270 Bowfin, and now it is making its way to the technically-designed Air Force 270 Utility. Much like the Air Force 1 Utility, this utilitarian remake of any already-existing piece of Nike footwear adds an on-trend technical aesthetic into the fold by way of additional straps, added durability, and a higher construction. With the introductory colorway of this head-turning new design, Nike’s design team has opted to keep the colors minimalistic, letting its maximalist construction do most – if not all – the talking. A “For Outdoor Use Only” tag along its midfoot clasp – aiding in its lockdown – furthers the intentions of this creation, giving Swoosh consumers another piece of formidable footwear for the Fall. Grab a detailed look at the new Air Force 270 Utility below and stay tuned for updates regarding its Nike.com release.
