Nike Air Max 270
The Nike Air Max 270 is a lifestyle shoe made by Nike's Sportswear division. The silhouette made its official debut on February 2nd, 2018 for a retail tag of $150. In terms of of its design, its upper half is inspired by the Air Max 180 from 1991, and is mainly composed with a mesh exterior whose ventilated holes range from bigger sizing towards the midfoot/toe boxes, and in smaller forms towards the rear. Overlays arrive at the toe tips, as well as along the heels, while accented hits of a duo tiny Swooshes fall across the lateral walls. Moreover, its stretch bootie construction ensures that wearers receive a snug like fit.
Down below, the Air Max 270 is supported with a chunky Air Max unit which — in the Swoosh's history — is the highest ever made. The 2-piece midsole offers durability, traction and a smooth transition from heel to forefoot. Although it dons a sort of performance-looking aesthetic, it is made exclusively for more athleisure-type wear and not for running.
Since its debut, the Sportswear model has released in a wide array of striking colorways that easily make it one of the most prolific sneakers within the Nike family. Additionally, it has spawned a generation of additional Nike models such as the Air Max 270 React, Air Max 270 React ENG, Jordan Mars 270, Nike Air Edge 270, Air Max 270 Bowfin, and more.
Its original model is known for mainly dropping in a plethora of in-line variations ranging from multiple renditions that feature Spring/Summer-friendly color combos, to more neutral-focused makeovers that mix between black and white palettes. In addition, the shoes have also been offered in men's, women's, and kid's sizes.
