Nike has been making a concerted effort to increase the energy surrounding some of its lesser utilized Air Max models this year the likes of the Air Max 93 and the Air Max 180. The return of their original “Dusty Cactus” and “Ultramarine” colorways have sent a surge of energy into both silhouettes that has not been felt in quite some time. Now, the Swoosh is taking notice of that new found life and bringing back another original color scheme of the Air Max 93 by way of the “Flame Red” variety. Primarily adorned in white leather, hits of Habanero Red – replacing the original Flame Red – and Neutral Indigo transform the design into a patriotic pick-up that would be a welcomed addition to any Air Max head’s collection. Responsible for half of the inspiration behind the newly engineered Air Max 270, the 93 is beginning to receive some of the recognition it deserves as an influential sneaker in the brand’s history.
Pairs of the Air Max 93 “Flame Red” are currently available at overseas shops, so you can expect this OG to return to your local retailer in the US soon. In other Air Max news, check out our expansive Where to Buy list for the highly anticipated Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 97/1.
