Nike KD 4
The Nike KD 4 is Kevin Durant’s fourth signature shoe under the Oregon giant. Its original retail run stretched from 2011 to 2012, and served as the first true footwear hit for the then Thunder superstar. On top of proving as a massive fiscal success, sneakerheads since have widely lauded the model as the best among his Nike catalog. Among plenty of other iconic colorways, pairs like the Nike KD 4 “Nerf”, KD 4 “Weatherman” and KD 4 “Aunt Pearl” are among the most sought after pairs of basketball shoes from that time period.
In 2018, Kevin Durant’s Golden State Warriors were closing in on an NBA championship, leading Nike to retro the silhouette for the first time. With the company beginning to toy with the same concept for some of LeBron James’ archival models, that “Thunderstruck” drop foreshadowed major plans for the KD line.
If you count yourself among the fans of the model, 2024 has brought some long-awaited and extremely welcome news. After a short stint of retros for the Nike KD 3, the Nike KD 4 is returning to store shelves, with the Nike KD 4 “Galaxy” serving as the debut release in this new string of drops.
Many of the aforementioned iconic colorways will be returning as a part of this retro series, from the “Weatherman” to the “Aunt Pearl.” Below you’ll find our latest coverage of the Nike KD 4, including official photos, release dates and store lists around respective drop days.
