Nike KD 17
The Nike KD 17 is Kevin Durant’s seventeenth signature shoe with Nike. A first look at the shoes was revealed in February 2024; KD himself debuted the shoes on-court in Game 1 against the Timberwolves, adopting a “Triple Black” colorway that’s only been seen in that instance. Since Easy Money Sniper adopted the model, select other athletes have rolled them out during their own team’s playoff runs; Chet Holmgren and Pascal Siakam are top of the list in that regard.
The KD 17 design is heavily inspired by the Air Max Plus, borrowing the wavy TPU siding synonymous with the Tn. It features a lower-cut design — a requirement by Durant himself — and no strap.
The Nike KD 17 is set to release on May 17th, 2024 in their debut “University Gold.” Subsequent editions include a “Penny” inspired edition, as well as a reprisal of the “Producer Pack,” this time looping in Bink!, Metro Boomin and The Alchemist. The shoe has been confirmed for a $150 retail price.
