Nike Air Tech Challenge II
The Nike Air Tech Challenge II is a 1989 tennis silhouette that was Andre Agassi’s second signature model. Widely regarded as one of the most influential pieces of tennis footwear ever, the Air Tech Challenge II changed the world of tennis upon its release, and its influence is still felt today, as the “Hot Lava” colorway served as inspiration for Kanye West’s Nike Air Yeezy 2. That “Hot Lava” pair most recently returned in 2016, but a 2024 re-edition is potentially on the slate as well.
