New Balance 1000

The New Balance 1000 is a model first introduced in 1999 as a running/training silhouette. Much like the New Balance 550, the 1000 wasn’t much of a hit in its initial run, leading New Balance to shelve the silhouette entirely.

At the height of the Y2K trends worn so proudly by the 1000, photos began circulating of new colorways of the shoe at the top of 2024. It was a tacit confirmation that the model would be returning to shelves for a renewed push. The release of the Joe Freshgoods New Balance 1000 brought the shoe back to shelves, and less than a month later, Teddy Santis shared initial images of a two-part Aime Leon Dore New Balance 1000 collection. Outside of those high-heat endeavors, the model is expected to come about in plenty of general release colorways for 2024. The “Metallic Silver” pair was the first to officially hit shelves. The other colorways we’ve gotten images of so far are as follows: “Angora/Moonrock,” “Green/Gray” and “Pink/Tan.”
