Air Jordan 8
The Air Jordan 8 is Michael Jordan’s eighth signature basketball shoe. It released in 1993 during MJ’s “Three-Peat” Championship season. Created by Tinker Hatfield, this is the last shoe that Jordan wore before his first retirement. The sneakers feature a mix of leather, cross straps, Zoom Air, and more. More colorways are slated to arrive in 2020, so check out the articles below for further release details and price information.
The Air Jordan 8 first debuted in February 1993 during that season’s All-Star Game. First revealed in the “Aqua” colorway, the Air Jordan 8 would eventually release in a total of three original colorways – “Aqua”, White/True Red aka “Bugs Bunny”, and Black/True Red aka “Playoffs”.
The Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” returned to stores in September 2023, capping off a year that also saw the release of the Air Jordan 8 “Gunsmoke” and Solefly Air Jordan 8.
As of right now, it appears that the Air Jordan 8 will remain somewhat sidelined for 2024- no current 8 drops are slated for the rest of the year. However, just before the release of the aforementioned Solefly collaboration, brand head Carlos Prieto shared images of a second pair, leaving the door open for a wide release of the SoleFly Air Jordan 8 “Diamond Turf” later this year.
