Nike Air Trainer 1
The Nike Air Trainer 1 is the first-ever cross-training shoe, and released in 1987. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and worn by athletes like Bo Jackson and John McEnroe, the Air Trainer 1 is one of Nike’s most famous sport silhouettes. Hatfield designed the shoe after a trip to the gym when he realized that several people there brought two pairs of shoes: one for running, and one for weightlifting.
