Michael Le Though one of New Balance’s newest silhouettes, the 57/40 is picking up quite a bit of steam. And at its accessible $100 USD price tag, it very well could overtake the original. Today, the brand has proffered yet another inline colorway, this time a women’s exclusive mix of navy and black.
Possibly one of the model’s best looks yet, the scheme delves seldom into color. Black outfits the pair both forward and behind, bringing in the eye stays, laces, and woven labels with it. Elsewhere, atop the “N” logos and part of the forefoot trim, navy squeezes its way in, subverting the classic color faux pas. Then, a very subtle use of pink completes the colorway, dressing counter as well as the “NB” insignia stamped onto the insole.
