Reebok Looks To The Archive With The Etna-Inspired DMX Trail Shadow Approach

Reebok Looks To The Archive With The Etna-Inspired DMX Trail Shadow Approach

As digital moodboards continue to fill their feeds with retro mountaineering gear, the brands that first created the product are looking to that specific era to inform future design concepts. The DMX Trail Shadow Approach is an exemplar of that past-meets-present technique as Reebok delivers its hiking-friendly lifestyle shoe with a full sole and mudguard wrap reminiscent of the Reebok Etna. To emphasize the no-frills direction of the release, Reebok strips down the upper dimensions by removing the exterior cage and overlays for a more streamlined look while adding extended ribbon eyestays that are anchored underneath the added mudguard. The launch colorway also sticks to the archival look with a beige/tan upper construction and black roped laces.

If you’re looking for that retro hiking look, the DMX Trail Shadow Approach will release on January 15th for $160 on Reebok.com.
