The Vans Old Skool Pulls Off An Accurate Giraffe Impression

The Vans Old Skool Pulls Off An Accurate Giraffe Impression

Vans quite obviously has no shortage of ideas. Whether through Vault or their mainline, the brand consistently offers surprise after surprise, often delving into inspirations far out of the norm every season. Their latest creation, which rests atop the frame of the beloved Old Skool, leans into the safari — specifically, the giraffes that inhabit such lands.

This is quickly evident as near all of the construction is covered in the tall animal’s signature pattern. The suede used throughout loosely mirrors that of the mammal’s fur, and when paired with the overlaid print, it comes even closer to its muse. These tan shapes, which inarguably lead the design, don’t just stop at the upper as well, since the see-through tooling allows it to extend even farther down than it would ordinarily.

Grab a quick look at this eccentric offering here and find it available now at select retailers and Vans.com likely soon.

In other news, a woolen Air Max 95 is on the way for next year.
