Kid Cudi‘s personal tastes in music, fashion, art, and general outlook isn’t quite of this world. It makes plenty of sense that his upcoming shoe with adidas reflects an otherworldly aesthetic. While we’ve seen the Ohio-bred rapper appear in several campaigns for the stripes since this union was first announced last May, this marks the first true “signature” shoe for Cudi as it bonds his footwear creation to his daughter who inspired the official name of the sneaker. The Vadawam 326 (the number noting his daughter’s birthday) takes a high-cut approach, drawing cues from the Artillery Hi while implementing space-exploration themes of NASA.
The shoe is built with full leather uppers and matched with decorative overlays at the fore-foot, while a protective heel and thick mid-foot straps speak to that moonwalking footwear theme. A digitized 326 is featured on the ankle collar as well.
Two colorways of Core Black/Night Grey/Solar Pink and Core White/Ecru Tint/Easy Yellow will officially release on December 17th for $180 a piece on adidas.com as well as the Confirmed App.
