Since its inception, the adidas Ultra Boost has been tweaked multiple times over, resulting in a design that’s far distinct from the 1.0 that first set off the craze. And in likely build up to their ever-modern 2021 rendition, the Three Stripes have offered up the silhouette in every variety, even new ones like the Ultra 4D and this upcoming Ultra Boost 5.0 Uncaged.
As its namesake implies, the offering entirely removes the bulk of the model’s side cage, providing an alternative to those who may be reluctant to cut it off themselves. In its place, a thin layer of taping brands the profile, its black finish slightly translucent and a complement to the Oreo-esque palette behind. Elsewhere, the Primeknit construction retains the beloved form, though it does so with the weave patterns of past iterations.
Grab a detailed look at these right here and expect to see them at adidas.com for a retail of $180 USD come December 10th.
Even later this month, adidas will be releasing a Gremlins Stan Smith.
