Formed by Jason Dill along with Mike Piscitelli and Anthony Ave Engelen in 2001, skate imprint Fucking Awesome is once again being tapped by adidas for another footwear collection. Building off of their Fall 2019 Stan Smith collaboration and project with Tyshawn Jones which debuted earlier this year, the two brands are joining hands on two new sneaker designs entitled the Experiment 1 and Experiment 2.
While both takes are constructed to a lower profile, they are designed with very different upper constructions. The Experiment 1 is mainly dressed up with a yin-and-yang motif; the synthetic underlays being swathed with a clean white hue while surrounding stark black overlays form the ankle collars, mudguards, and lateral/medial panels. In addition, co-branded stamps are present across the tongues in alongside a retro-inspired graphic of mountains, and Fucking Awesome text hits arrive embossed into the purple footbeds and lower heels.
Its release sibling is an iteration of much more loud decor; carrying leather base layers outfitted with bright neon green skins that are coupled with bright orange-red overlays which rest across its perforated quarter paneling and dip down onto the toe boxes. FA branding also arrives on this pair, but in the form of the brand’s initials on the tongues printed out in Old English font above a set of eight flags, as well as inside in the tongues in all-over fashion. You can sift through more official images down below, and find these dropping alongside a full range of apparel on FA’s web store come November 4th, followed by a wider adidas.com release on November 6th.
