First seen back in May, the women’s Nike Air Max 97 with sequins has emerged in new photos ahead of a possible release date.
Although the sewn-on detailing isn’t new to the silhouette, its previous appearances haven’t indulged in such a tonal scheme. “Black” takes over most of the Christian Tresser-designed upper, which features reflective panels on the tongue. As revealed by the latest lifestyle images, the sequins throughout the vamp overlays have a scarlet underside, creating a beloved “bred” arrangement when positioned properly. Swoosh branding across the Air Max silhouette further indulges in the stark contrast, as does the removable lace jewel and accents on the spine. Underfoot, sole units mostly opt for an understated scheme, but full-length Airbags and a swoosh logo on the outsole bring some red flair to the pair’s bottom.
