First teased in late August, Stussy‘s next NIKE, Inc. collaboration – a Nike Air Force 1 Low – has been gradually making its rounds across the Internet. As with the streetwear pioneer’s Spiridon Cage 2 duo from April and May, its next joint-effort follows understated and versatile color palettes: “Black/Cool Grey” and “Fossil Stone”, pictured below.
While not as visually experimental as other tweaked pairs of the Air Force 1, Stussy’s interpretation exchanges standard leather for a hemp-like construction. Profile swooshes are embroidered onto the beige midfoot and heel panels in a slight-split fashion. Panels at the rear forgo their typical “NIKE AIR” branding in favor of a shimmering “SS” Crest. Elsewhere, Stussy’s graffiti-inspired logo appears on the tongue labels and is accompanied by cities in which the brand has set up shops; it delivers stark black contrast to the white label. Laces, collar lining, and sole units also deviate from the sneaker’s predominantly “Fossil Stone” arrangement with shades of “Sail” and “Off White”.
