Nike’s commitment to a more sustainable future is guided by their “Move to Zero” initiative — a promise to their consumers to produce apparel and footwear products designed with recyclable materials. We’ve seen Beaverton’s efforts spill out in numerous forms this Summer through collections such as the ever-growing Space Hippie series, as well as unveiled collections such as the Air Jordan Crater capsule, Converse Crater assortment, VaporMax 2020, and more. And now, Nike Sportswear is adding even more pieces to the “trashy” range which integrate several of their own classic silhouettes.
Included in the collection arrives two anniversary models in the Air Max 95 and Air Max 90, the Daybreak Type, the Cortez, and two colorways of the Air Force 1. Present in each take comes uppers constructed entirely from recycled canvas, Flyleather Swooshes and heel tabs fashioned from 50% leather fibers, and recycled foam tongues and shoe strings. Moreover, the Daybreak and Cortez members load up their midsoles with Crater Foam which effectively provides a more scrappy aesthetic. The full collection is set to launch on August 20th on Nike.com, so check out a closer look here while you wait on their arrival.
For other news, an atmos Air Max ZM950 collaboration is on the way.
