Kobe Bryant’s Nike Mamba Fury Appears In A Lakers “Home” Colorway

Official release information of upcoming Kobe 5 Protros still lies within the realm of the unknown, but Nike is keeping fans of the late five-time champion engaged with more options of his takedown footwear lineage. Currently leading the charge is the Mamba Fury, a low-profile, hardwood-ready silhouette that last dropped back in May in an alternate Bruce Lee-inspired colorway. And now it’s ready to expand upon its legacy with a brand new rendition that aims to honor his beloved LA Lakers franchise that he poured his heart and soul into for 20 seasons.

Predominantly hued in white, this next take deviates in construction as its forefoot is wrapped with scaly textures while its rear opts to go with a soft mesh. To stress its Lakers essence, “Field Purple” hits color the treading, heel clip, and Mamba tongue logos, while “Amarillo” vibrance touches onto the lower lace loops and inserts to best translate the minimal usage of accents found on their home uniforms. Moreover, the Swoosh piece that is fastened to the lower lateral side, as well as the dotted patterns embedded into the lateral side stand out in a smokey grey.
