Jordan Brand, though predicated on the simplicity of its original line-up, has evolved quite a bit in recent years. But despite outstanding changes taking place month to month, the still legendary designer Tinker Hatfield has remained a constant even today. And after working on a few runners not too long ago, it looks like the sneaker architect is set to release yet another lifestyle silhouette: the performance-informed Jordan AJNT23.
Clad in DMP colors, the offering skews many typical tropes in a way futuristic, a signature Hatfield has come into throughout the years. Taped with glossy finish at its seams, the upper leans into a relatively technical construction inclusive of what looks to be ripstop fabrics and smooth nylon side panels. What’s more, the lacing system provides utility by way of an innovative 1-pull process that tightens the midfoot and the strap simultaneously. The gold knobs at the side, which rotate as you fasten, then effectively double as a luxe, metallic accent points, matching the similarly high quality detailing that dresses the strap, Jumpman embroidery, heel speckling, and insole print.
Currently a release date is unconfirmed, but if you plan on getting your hands on a pair, expect each to arrive with a special matte black hard case. Sit tight and await their launch at Nike.com.
