Nike touted the Air Max 2090 as its “current shoe of the future” when the model launched back in March. Since then, The Swoosh has delivered dozens of pairs of the silhouette ostensibly from decades ahead. The latest ups the futuristic ante with a multi-colored palette inspired by transportation from the year 2090.
Mixed-materials uppers are predominantly clad in “White” and “Black,” and feature eye-catching accents along their profile. Branding on the lateral side are animated by “Bleached Aqua”, while taping around the tongue boasts a disparate “Speed Yellow” hue. Elsewhere, stitching visible through the Air Max 2090’s semi-transparent body dons a “Chile Red” that also takes over the Airbag underfoot. Air Max 90-inspired cassettes at the heel forgo the vibrant for a milky-“White”; similarly, EVA foam midsoles and their accompanying tread indulge in subtle “Black”.
A release date is unknown, but pairs of this Air Max 2090 are likely to hit Nike.com during summer. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the shoes here below.
In other Air Max news, the premium DENHAM Air Max 1 is rumored to be limited to just 6,800 pairs.
