Russell Westbrook‘s signature sneaker line with Jordan Brand has taken inspiration from everything and everywhere. Soon joining pairs nodding to TNT, zodiac signs and children’s movies is a Jordan Westbrook One Take paying homage to Beijing, China.
Just like the man behind them, this Westbrook One Take doesn’t curb its boldness. Instead, a sunrise-like gradient covers the entire textile base. Black synthetic overlays slightly subdue the color scheme, though they introduce “Barely Volt” into the mix, but their jagged angles and accompanying overt stitch details further propel this Why Not Zer0.3 alternative into the vibrant. Tongues and collars opt for vivid pink, which also animates Jumpman logos on the lateral midfoot and right shoe insoles; sockliners in the left shoe are stamped with an outline of and coordinates for China’s capital. Down below, Wei Shao’s (威少), as Westbrook’s known in China, latest more budget-friendly option adds neon-colored speckles to its otherwise plain white midsole. Elsewhere, multi-directional-patterned outsoles ditch the neon for an understated, yet attention-grabbing icy finish.
Full release details for this Westbrook One Take are still unknown, but pairs are likely to arrive first to Nike.com in China over the next few weeks. In the meantime, enjoy a closer look at the shoes here below.
On the Air Jordan retro end, the Jordan 1 Satin Snake is set to arrive on August 15th.
