While Japan and China have gotten the brunt in terms of regional exclusives, Korea has been relatively left out, only proffering collaborations with their homegrown celebrities. But now, as part of the Air Max 95‘s current 25th anniversary, Nike’s Korean outpost is turning the silhouette into a velcro-covered masterwork that celebrates spring with pop color arrangements and a palette inspired wholly by the beloved forsythia flowers. Hued primarily in white — at the top line’s mesh, the tongue near entirely, and even the toe cap and tooling — the pair uses bright hues as more of an accent, with the side layers standing apart from their backdrop by way of a seasonally appropriate yellow and orange combination. Elsewhere, where the adhesive backing sits between black outlines, the upper is then stamped by a the included logo patches: a few of smaller checks in all sorts of sizes, one of the circular Air Max insignia, and the last a swoosh of floral-laden grandeur. Grab a detailed look at this wild 95 right here, and if you happen to be overseas or know a few people who can help, then prepare for its exclusive SNKRS drop on March 21st at a price of 209,000 Won.
In other news, Japan is getting an Air Max 95 Cherry Blossom.
