Vans, unlike many, has never lost its strength throughout the years, with their classics — Slip-Ons, Old Skools, Sk8-His, etc. — helping maintain their status as one of the most versatile and universally loved footwear brands on the planet. Worn from young and adoring fans to dedicated skaters and world renowned celebrities, the Anaheim imprint’s run of silhouettes is nearly all-inclusive, and they’re now aiming to take this to the next level as they painstakingly cater to the five sense with their forthcoming Autism Awareness collection.
Lead by their most notable few, the collection embarks on a diverse range of designs in almost every size. The Slip-On, which seems to be the frontrunner as evident by its number alone, tweaks the checkerboard print with calming blues and a much more padded textile-constructed upper on one option while adding love themed graphics on the next; their louder alternate then, in departure, applies a smooth filter of synthetic whose finish warps to an almost water color likeness thanks to its iridescent coating. Moreover, the Old Skool, whose adjacent variations add straps and more intricate suede paneling, see two pastel schemes, while its original skin is given a saturated blue mixed in with various heart stamps.
Marked by a minimum donation of $100,000, the capsule will release to select shops and Vans.com come this March.
In other news, the Nike SB Dunk Low Safari is dropping soon.
