Of LeBron James’ many philanthropic efforts, the formation of the I Promise School in Akron, OH stands among some of his most rewarding. In 2018, LeBron James, through his LeBron James Family Foundation, worked with the Akron school board to open up a school specifically for at-risk and disadvantaged youth, providing a stable educational environment for the children of Akron. This upcoming LeBron 17 commemorates that momentous occasion with a multi-colored upper and sole, reflecting LeBron’s passion for improving education, and an oversized crown logo symbolizing the King’s organization.
