Although Gordon Hayward is forced to sit out for a good chunk of the NBA season due to a hand fracture injury he endured last month, the Boston Celtics small forward is making time to focus on his signature sneaker line with ANTA. After being teased in several colorways earlier this Fall, the hoops-ready model looks as though its production is being finalized and ready to be released to the public as the first GH1 – Barbershop colorway will commence its releases this holiday season. Interestingly enough, this first offering is inspired by Hayward’s well-groomed haircut and serves as a heartfelt love letter to Natick’s very own Title Town Barbers. Themes mirror that of traditional barbershop elements from the fonts used to the patriotic hues nodding to the signature poles, to the interior comb and scissor icons laid just inside the tongue interior. In addition, a side profile of Hayward’s clean comb over and beard is etched atop the tongue, all falling against its matte black base constructions.
