This Fall/Winter season has seen a handful of sportswear brands such as Nike, adidas, and ASICS upgrade their signature models with GORE-TEX materials in preparation of the more consistent days of inclement weather set to arrive in just a few months time. However, none have been more proactive than the Swoosh as the rainy-day armor has been applied across many of their silhouettes, with one of the more consistent styles being the Air Force 1.
For the month of December, two more colorways of the AF1 Low GORE-TEX have just been added into their lineup. The first of the two takes on a much louder colorway than its counterpart, arriving with an all-over “Desert Orange” hue – which is ironic considering that the shoe is made specially for the Winter – that plays the role of its backdrop, and gets accented with an orange that sits on the brighter end of the color spectrum for the tone featured on the Swoosh logos, heels, and liners. It’s partner opts for a much darker motif as a muted obsidian dresses up the majority of its upper, allowing the snowy white contrasts touching the co-branded hits throughout to stand out. If you’re in the market for some winterized footwear to lace up this season, these are now available on Nike.com and at select retailers for $150.
