Nike’s Double-Layered Air Force 1 Shadow Is Coming In Grey And Lavendar

Nike’s Double-Layered Air Force 1 Shadow Is Coming In Grey And Lavendar

Not even a year ago, the chief trend in footwear was the “deconstructed” movement which saw icons like the Air Force 1 get stripped down and rebuilt with unconventional materials. It appears that the tide is turning in the opposite direction, because Nike is literally stacking two shoes into one. Much of this is due to the popularity of Chitose Abe’s LDWaffle, which joined the powers of two similar yet outright distinct silhouettes into one cohesive shoe. With the Air Force 1 Shadow, the same principle exists, but with just double the AF1 details on the U-throat, heel counter, and the tongue tabs (in which the unique brand logos give off that true sacai feel). A launch for this remixed AF1 is confirmed for October 3rd in a bevy of colorways, including this grey and lavender pairing that you see below.
