One of the best bang-for-buck runners in Nike’s robust 1990s catalog is making a return soon. The Air Ghost Racer, a super-lightweight marathon shoe from 1998, is set to make its return soon at the most opportune time in which welded mesh and leather uppers seem to be the norm for casual wear. During its original run, the shoes were priced at a mere $80 and famed long-distance Mark Nenow supposedly had a hand in the design. Despite its relative obscurity compared to models like the Spiridon, the Ghost Racer shouldn’t have any problem grabbing the attention of today’s sneaker fan (and Vomero lover) for its impressive design and palatable $120 price-point, although it remains to be seen if the heel Zoom and full-length Duralon BRS-1000 will make a return (based on the Zoom logo on the sole, you can definitely expect the former). A release date has not been reported yet, but expect these to hit retailers during the Fall 2019 season.
