New Balance has been modifying and melding their classic silhouettes together with great frequency over the past few months, and the latest pair to surface as part of their interesting experimentations is this compelling made-in-the-UK 991.9. Featuring a premium pigskin suede/mesh upper from the New Balance 991 sitting on top of a New Balance 990v3 sole, this homage-packed design then combines a white, tan, and grey forefoot with a black heel for a light-to-dark contrast. The stark mix of tones is then offset somewhat by vibrant pink detailing on both the tongue and heel, plus a high-vis reflective N logo on the quarter. Down below, the ENCAP midsole forgoes the multi-color combination present on the shoe’s upper half, opting instead for a simple and stately black that completes the look. These new NBs are available now for an even $200 at stockists like Premier, so check out a full set of images below and hit the buying guide as well to secure your pair.
