A-COLD-WALL* To Release Another Hand-Dyed Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Redox”

A-COLD-WALL* To Release Another Hand-Dyed Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Redox”

One of the most divisive silhouettes of 2018 upon its original release, A-COLD-WALL‘s heel piece-equipped take on the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 revived a long-dormant runner from the ’00s and shoved it into the modern-day fashion lexicon. Now, designer Samuel Ross is set to bring the Vomero back again in a new hand-dyed colorway entitled “Redox.” Presenting a compelling, diverse take on a tonal look, ACW has fully submersed the sneaker in red dye, with the by-hand coloring process giving it a unique palette of hues. These multiple shades of red are achieved by coating parts of the sneaker with polyurethane lamination, causing the dye to take to each part of the shoe’s construction differently — a result that the brand boasts is the end product of extensive R&D. A signature large heel counter, small ACW branded hit on the toebox, and a Zoom Air/Cushlon equipped midsole complete the look. These Nike shoes are releasing via ACW’s website on May 28th, 2019, so get a first look right here and let us know what you think of the unique look as well.
