Nike Celebrates Chinese New Year With The Air Flightposite One

Joining Nike’s already-stacked slate of Chinese New Year creations in 2019 next is Penny Hardaway’s Air Flightposite One silhouette, boasting the same design language as the revered Foamposite family with a few unique details it can call its own. Aesthetically, this Flightposite ushers in a firework-like motif that comes anchored by a purple and red color scheme with a geometric gird pattern on its throat and ankle collar for a touch of contrast to offset its boisterous shell. For a signature Chinese New Year touch, this hoops-lifestyle crossover ushers in a pair of traditional praying hands on its tongue, a set of Chinese characters on its heel, and a royal hit of metallic gold on its midfoot plate and Swoosh.
