Vans Blurs Out Its Signature Checkerboard Print

The Anaheim-based footwear house has been pumping out innovation after innovation, reimagining many of their core products in quite an eclectic vision. Surely paving the way for an even more exciting release calendar in 2019, Vans has slowly begun ushering in a series of wilder releases, now introducing the Blur Check Authentic. While no stranger to reframing the iconic pattern, this would be one of the few times the Jazz Stripe donning label has done it within their own mainline releases, making the possibilities for new offerings quite endless. While mostly a contemporary set piece, the classic authentic is left untouched in terms of construction, but throughout the tiled upper rests spots of blurring, obscuring the crisp lines of the checkerboard graphic to great effect.
