LeBron James To Debut Regular Season With Nike LeBron 16 “King”

Throughout his magnificent 16-years career, Nike has been there right alongside LeBron James each and every literal step of the way. Way back in 2003, the Swoosh shot an ad campaign in which the proclaimed king sat on a regal throne decked out in red velvet with golden hardware and three menacing lions perched at his feet. In celebration of that ad, Nike has fashioned a luxurious take on the LeBron 16 signature shoe, one created specifically for his opening night game and LA Lakers regular season debut against the Portland Trail Blazers. Done up in a monarchial combination of deep red, metallic gold, and cheetah print – harkening back to the jungle vibes of the ad from 16 years ago – these shoes are truly fit for the league’s top predator. Currently, a release is scheduled for October 15th at retailers in Europe, but stay tuned for updates on when these hit stateside and on Nike.com.

Updated October 12th: The Nike LeBron 16 “King” releases on October 18th at 10:30 PM EST.
