Likely NBA MVP James Harden may not have had the ending to the season that he wanted. His Houston Rockets fell to Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and rest of the the eventual NBA Champion Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, but at least the bearded wonder is winning on the sneaker end of the spectrum. After both a new Harden BTE 2 silhouette that’s set to release sometime this summer, and a Harden Vol. 2 “MVP” colorway—possibly hinting that adidas knows something we don’t—we now have a first look at four colorways of a new silhouette that may very well be the Harden Vol. 3.
Arriving in a black/red, a black/silver, a silver/grey, and a black/soft pink, the new sneaker features a low-top silhouette with a high heel collar like Harden’s previous releases, while a three stripes graphic arrives towards the heel on the lateral side of each shoe and a XIII—the Roman numeral for 13, Harden’s number—appears on the medial side. An elastic forefoot strap with what appears to be Harden’s signature adorns the shoe’s forefoot, and more branding arrives on the tongue. The upper’s one-piece woven upper provides support, and a full-length Boost midsole offers comfort and cushioning. Unlike the other three colorways, the black/pink appears to be a lifestyle silhouette, as it features a leather upper with significantly less Harden branding and a more muted overall look. Pricing/release date information is not yet available, but look for these new Hardens to release sometime this summer or fall and check out our Sneaker Release Dates page for further release info and updates.
