British designer Samuel Ross and his brand A-Cold-Wall have garnered widespread acclaim for unique conceptual designs and a striking aesthetic. Ross is no stranger to footwear either, having collaborated with Nike on a extremely limited Air Force 1 —a shoe that now fetches four figure sums on the resell market—for his London pop-up last October. Now Ross and Nike are back at it again, as the designer recently posted a new pair of Nike concept shoes on his Instagram.
The low-top Nike shoes feature a boxy silhouette, in line with the current chunky shoe trend that’s taken the world of footwear by storm. A black base, mesh tongue, and silver Nike swoosh that appears to have been painted by hand are all that’s visible in the picture as the majority of the sneaker appears to be coated in several layers of a tinfoil-like material. No official information on Ross’s latest creation is available yet but if the shoes are actually limited to an edition of 25 as Ross stated in the caption of his Instagram post it’s safe to say that they’ll be a tough pair to acquire.
