Boston Celtics rookie Jason Tatum played an important role in his team’s drubbing of the Cleveland Cavaliers last night with an impressive stat line of 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals but what was arguably even more impressive than his performance were the standout sneakers on his feet, a brand-new pair of “Green Lobster” Nike Kyrie 4s. A clear reference to the famous “Lobster” SB dunks from Boston-based Concepts, the shoes take the classic seafood-inspired aesthetic and add a generous dash of Celtics seasoning, boldly featuring a dark green speckled upper with contrast arriving from a forest green outsole and volt green laces. To finish the Nike SB-inspired look off, the Lobster’s famous lobster bib pattern makes an appearance on the collar. As Kyrie Irving’s affinity for SBs is well-known, don’t be surprised if you see more skate-inspired iterations of his latest signature shoes during the playoffs … especially if the Celtics continue to play the way they did in game 5.
