Reebok’s Sock Run.r, a silhouette made famous by last year’s high-priced Vetements collaboration, is now set for a non-collaborative, in-line release at a significantly more affordable price point. The shoe’s unique high sock-like upper, made of a black technical knit fabric, sits on top of a cream-colored four-piece outsole originally taken from a 1996 Pump EVO prototype that was never put into production. A minimal heel cage and “Not For Resale RBK Sample” branding toward the top of the high collar tie the shoe’s futuristic look together.
This special colorway of the Sock Run.r is set to release exclusively at Barneys on May 11th, then see a wider release at select Reebok retailers May 18th. For more Reebok news, you can check out the brand’s collaborative Question with New Orleans rapper Curren$y.
