In 2006, Jordan Brand unveiled a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 3 with a primarily white upper, red paneling along the midsole and black and grey elephant print. The shoe was donned the Air Jordan 3 “Katrina” and was auctioned off to aid victims of the horrific hurricane that swept through New Orleans. While rumors swirled regarding a release, the pair never made its way into the hands of the public. However, that is all scheduled to change as the aforementioned colorway is gearing up for a release during the first half of 2018. This pair looks very similar to one of the most popular colorways in the Jumpman’s history – the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement” – except this version will come with Jordan branding on the heel tab as opposed to the preferred Nike Air branding. Mark your calendars for May 12, when the Air Jordan 3 “Katrina” is scheduled to hit Jordan Brand retailers.
