For the next adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange, it looks like Japan’s United Arrows & Sons and Italy’s Slam Jam are hitting the beach for special editions of the Gazelle and Campus. Opting for more classic silhouettes than many of the cross-continental Sneaker Exchange collabs we’ve seen previously utilizing modern Boost sneakers, the two elite-level shops stick with the classics—but with their own unique twists.
United Arrows and Slam Jam bring a beach or poolside them to the Campus and Gazelle, each crafted in premium materials. The Campus is built with 100% organic cotton in white with tonal branding and terry cloth inner lining for a look that mimics a beach towel. Each pair is then completed with printed laces that say “Slam Jam” and “United Arrows & Sons” in Japanese text. The Campus is constructed in the unique material of Alcantara, which is a suede-like material chosen by the shops because it was created in 1972 by a collaboration between Japanese and Italian companies. The sandy colorway also features the same white organic terry cloth lining, while the ribbed tongue of the Samba is utilized for another interesting modification.
The United Arrows & Sons x Slam Jam x adidas Consortium sneaker Exchange collection will release initially on September 22nd exclusively at both stores, followed by a release at global Consortium retailers on October 7th. Prices are set for $150 for each model.
