When it comes to soccer in England, there’s no doubt that the country’s two biggest cities for the sport are London and Manchester, each home to some of the most famous football clubs on Earth. UK sneaker retailer size? and adidas Originals honor the two football-loving towns with a special pack as part of their ongoing Archive series. The three-shoe collection focuses not on the actual teams of the cities, but the way in which many of their fans get to the matches, referencing the public transit tickets and travel cards used to journey across town to their teams’ hollowed grounds.
Beginning with the Gazelle Super, the pack includes two colorways of the slightly modified Gazelle inspired by the colors of London’s Underground ticket in reversed pink and blue combinations, each with red accents and dark gum soles. Representing transit up north above ground, Manchester is represented with a white and yellow edition of the Indoor Super. A lesser seen archival indoor football shoe, the Indoor Super is completed with a gum sole and metallic silver accents in a premium leather, suede, and nylon construction.
Releasing in three consecutive weeks, the “London to Manchester” pack launches with the Royal/Pink edition of the Gazelle Super this Friday, August 18th exclusively at size? stores and online.
