Klay Thompson is one of the most lethal long-distance shooters in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors aren’t taking too long to gel with their new starting lineup and the addition of Kevin Durant to the roster. Much like teammate Steph Curry, Klay has taken an unconventional path with his signature sneaker, signing with upstart brand Anta to help launch the latest basketball apparel under their Anta America line. Today we get a look at Klay’s second signature model, the Anta KT 2 in two Warriors inspired “Home” and “Away” PEs to be worn throughout this season.
Nicknamed the “Whitehawk” and “Blackhawk” colorways, the names are derived from the unique heel design that was constructed to look like a hawk with the Anta logo serving as the bird’s beak. Anta made sure to create a lightweight design for Thompson’s frequent cuts to the baskets and curls off screens, while the midsole features a unique array of jagged edges that delivers a maximum return of energy.
“It’s exciting to be playing such an important role in the debut of ANTA here in America and collaborating with them on my own line of signature shoes,” said Thompson. “I’m not one who endorses any product I don’t truly believe in and use authentically. We developed the KT2 “Players Edition” line to provide everything and more that I require to perform night in and night out, and they look awesome.”
Select retailers like Shoe Palace are already stocking select colorways of the Anta KT 2 today for $120. You can also find your size on AntaAmerica.com.
